The Peter Kiewit Institute is proud to host the third annual PKI Academy of Modeling and Simulation. This Academy gives high school students hands-on exposure to computer modeling and simulation in engineering used by University faculty, industry leaders and sectors of the military. The sessions will enable students to apply modeling and simulation to real life challenges facing us today. Avatars, game-based learning, virtual environments, transportation and weather modules are just some of the specialized areas students will explore. Thanks to a generous donation from our sponsors, there is no cost for students to attend. Participants must be rising high school seniors (class of 2015) from a Nebraska or western Iowa high school. Selection criterion is based upon academic achievement as well as extracurricular involvement in the community and leadership experience.
